北京师范大学心理学院是中国高校成立的第一个心理学院，是“国家理科基础科学研究与教学人才培养基地”和“全国人文社会科学重点研究基地”。拥有心理学博士后流动站和基础心理学、发展与教育心理学和应用心理学3个博士点。“发展与教育心理学”为全国重点学科。拥有教育部 “认知科学与学习”重点实验室和“脑与认知科学网上合作研究中心”。

■标志的总体构成是一个古老的钟，取用北京师范大学校徽的核心部分，明确传达心理学院是北京师范大学的一分子，体现北京师范大学的精神，展现学校古老的文化底蕴；
